Isolde

About

Isolde is an attempt to create a tool for professional searchers that will help to search the major Internet search engines in sequential mode, with some added functionality that in my daily practice as an information professional turned out to be quite handy.

Isolde is -- obviously -- named after the beautifull opera Tristan & Isolde by Wagner. Isolde was made by Arno H.P. Reuser who is a professional librarian with a keen interest in digital procedures to make life for an information professional just a little bit less dependent on helpdesks and automation consultants. How? By doing everything yourself! Including the beautifull art of programming.

Isolde was written in PERL with JavaScript. The idea was born after attending an Internet workshop conducted by Greg Notess and a GO Course on information dissemination. Isolde is free for use.
